ECON FUENGIROLA POOL LEAGUE...
The Econ Fuengirola winter pool league is coming up for the 2011/2012 season. Matches will be played on Thursday evenings with a break for Christmas and the 3 Kings.
You can download a outline of proposed guidelines for the 2011/2012 league from the links above, teams wishing to take part will be called to a meeting before the league starts to discuss and define these guidelines. If you are interested in taking part in the Econ Fuengirola winter pool league for 2011/2012 then give Mike a call on 609 504 427 or drop us an email using our contact us page. The league will start in October to November 2012 relative to number of teams.
Anyone wanting to enter a team should get in contact with us as soon as possible, there are quite a few things to do and the sooner we know the number of teams interested in the league the better.
League fund...
1. TEAMS - There will be a 25 Euro entry fee for each team entering the league along with a returnable deposit (The returnable deposit 80 Euro).
The option to have a subscription each league night is something that will be discussed at the pre league meeting between teams taking part.
2. BAR OWNED TABLES - There is a 50 Euro 'table fee' for any bar to enter a table into the league.
3. POOL TABLE OPERATORS TABLES - Econ will add to the league fund 100 Euros plus 50 Euros per team with an Econ pool table, 'operators of any tables used by any teams entering the league will be expected to do the same'
Pool table operators 'just like electronic dart board operators' will know the financially benefit from being involved in a pool league, getting back more than the small amount they pay towards being involved in a league costs them, and on top of that: someone else is doing all the hard work 'without charge' in putting the league together for them to make money... so generally your operator will be happy to pay the entry fee.
4. TABLE OPERATORS OPTIONAL FEE - There is an optional advertising fee of 500 Euros for operators, this will give them placement of their logo and telephone number in any results published in a local newspaper, these results will only be published if operators and/or sponsors contribute towards this.
PRIZES - Any monies raised from 1, 2 & 3 above will be placed into the league fund and will be used for a winners team trophy and small winning team players trophies along with trophies for 2nd and 3rd places. Any monies remaining will then be used for 'the beers' at the presentation of the trophies at the winning teams venue. The entry fees and pool table operators payments are not excessive and so will not cover the costs of any presentation dinner, the monies remaining after various trophies or prizes are covered will be given to the bar at the winning teams home venue to cover drinks and snacks for a presentation.
Before the league starts we will publish on this web site the total fund and it's sources along with the trophy costs breakdown, this cannot really be done accurately until we know the actual teams as fund income varies between the number of operators tables and the number of privately owned tables involved.
Sponsors: If you have a business and want to sponsor any of our leagues then give us a call, you will get your name and logo on the back page of one of the poplar local newspapers for the duration of the league... probably longer and your logo and contact information will be distributed on all league related paperwork and results sheets posted in local bars. We also create a web page on our web site for each sponsor, Google will pick up on this and return your business when someone tried to search it in Google.
Sponsorship doesn't need to cost you much but you will get more back from the investment than paying for the same advertising yourselves.
